The role will be multi-faceted, providing support to the Professional Footballer’s Association’s residential rehabilitation and triage schemes as well as other sporting organisations and P3rform clients from education and corporate settings. As P3RFORM delivers high-performance support in-person, regionally and digitally, there is a requirement for the post holder to appreciate how P3rform clients can be supported across the different platforms. The post holder will help foster P3RFORM’s methodology to athlete support, working closely with physical performance coaches, nutritionists and psychologists. There will also be a requirement to support the clinical lead in activities that advance service delivery as required.
Annual Salary: Up to £35 k plus bonus scheme
Annual CPD Budget: £500
Reporting to: Clinical Lead
Role purpose: Delivery of in-person, digital and triage physiotherapy services to P3RFORM clients.
Key responsibilities
Delivery of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation as set out by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Core Standards of Physiotherapy Practice
Close liaison with Sports Medicine departments who refer into the scheme to optimise player medical care, welfare and performance.
Work collaboratively across the business, supporting other departments and practitioners in the achievement of their objectives.
Provide remote support to PFA members and other P3RFORM clients via P3RFORM’s digital platform.
Refer players and other clients into the P3RFORM regional network where appropriate.
Complete comprehensive and confidential medical records.
To contribute to the continuous professional development of all sports science and medical staff.
Support product design and delivery of clinical services for education and corporate clients
Provide content creation support for sales & marketing activities
SKILLS:
Excellent clinical skills relating to the assessment and rehabilitation of injuries.
A strong background in the measurement of objective force expression measures and their application to guide rehabilitation and return to play programming.
Experience with interpreting imaging reports and identifying appropriate management pathways.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to accurately manage medical data.
An entrepreneurial approach that supports the achievement of commercial targets within a high-performance environment.
To display high levels of initiative and creativity towards their own clinical practice, service development and the growth of P3RFORM as a company.
ESSENTIALS:
Chartered Physiotherapist with CSP and HCPC registration
Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy / Sport & Exercise Medicine or equivalent.
At least 5 years post-graduate experience.
Dynamic innovative approach to their work.
Excellent communication skills.
FA accredited first aid trauma qualification.
Evidence of continuous professional development CPD portfolio
S+C qualification / accreditation or demonstration of personal development in this area.
DESIRABLES:
MSc in Physiotherapy / related area
Experience of working within professional football
Post grad qualification in manual therapy.
Commercial/Private Practice experience
Commercial, marketing & social media acumen
