Mitch is an experienced Strength and Conditioning coach and personal trainer working with top flight athletes and individuals at all fitness levels, alongside organisations including the PFA, PGMOL and Staffordshire University Sport’s High Performance Academy.
During my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Sport Science and Applied Sports Physiology, I gained experience with England Golf, Eastbourne Hockey and local college athletes, before taking on a two-year internship at the University of Warwick. This internship gave me a unique opportunity to work closely with high performance teams across hockey, volleyball and American football, whilst working as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist.
In 2019, I started with Aston Villa WFC as the RTC Physical Preparation Lead, overseeing the creation of the physical syllabus from the ground up, across three seasons. During the second season, I took on the role of sport scientist with the senior squad. I also established my own private coaching company in 2020, delivering 1:1 Strength and Conditioning and personal training support to athletes and general fitness enthusiasts at my own facility, alongside remote programmes for national level athletes across a number of sports.
As a UKSCA Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, I oversee Staffordshire University’s scholarship delivery, from the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), to national level athletes. I also provide the Strength and Conditioning sessions on the regional Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) scheme and support the PFA’s rehabilitation programme at St George’s Park for injured pro-footballers.
My coaching philosophy is to develop individuals that truly understand their body and movement patterns to support your goals of athletic performance, body composition, or general health and lifestyle improvements.
When we introduce one of our expert coaches into someone’s life we begin to build a meaningful relationship they stretches way beyond talking about fitness.
We hear about when they are not sleeping well, not feeling great or when they feel they like are performing poorly at work.
We are asked for advice regarding mental fitness, healthy eating, dietary requirements, sleep and nutrition. Our aim is to become a core and trusted part of our clients daily life.
